Terms of Service
1. Who can use NeighborlyNow
Volunteers must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's OK. Organizations must be run by someone 18 or older who can act for the group. Give us true information and keep your password private.
2. How it works
Groups post tasks. Volunteers claim a task, show up, and check in. Check-in is how a task is recorded. We provide the place to connect. We don't run, supervise, or check every task, group, or volunteer.
3. Volunteers
Volunteers act on their own. You are not an employee of NeighborlyNow or of any group. Tasks are unpaid, and points are not pay. Only claim tasks you plan to do. If your plans change, cancel your spot in the app as early as you can, or let the group know. Please don't be a no-show.
4. Organizations
Groups are responsible for their own tasks. Post only real tasks, keep every detail accurate (what, where, when), and keep volunteers safe. Follow the law, treat volunteers with respect, and use their contact info only to run the task they claimed.
5. Points and the leaderboard
You earn points for tasks you complete and check in to. Points have no cash value. The leaderboard shows your name as First name and last initial only, like "Maya L." We may fix or reset points if we find mistakes or cheating.
6. Rewards
- Vouchers are offered by the businesses, not by NeighborlyNow.
- Rewards have no cash value and can change or end at any time.
- Vouchers can't be exchanged for cash.
- Points are not refunded after you redeem a voucher.
- Each code works once and expires 30 days after you redeem it.
- Businesses can change or end their offers at any time.
- We aren't responsible for a business's offer or how it honors a voucher.
- We can adjust or remove points if they were earned or used by misuse.
7. What you can't do
Please don't harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Don't commit fraud, pretend to be someone else, or fake check-ins. Don't post unsafe or illegal tasks. Don't use task listings to ask for money, donations, or sales.
8. Removing content and suspending accounts
We can remove content or tasks, and suspend or end any account, at any time, with or without notice and for any reason. That includes accounts that break these terms or seem unsafe. To delete your account, email support@neighborlynow.com. If you think we made a mistake, write to us and we'll take another look, but we aren't required to restore anything.
9. No responsibility, limits, and changes
NeighborlyNow is only a platform that connects volunteers and groups. We aren't a party to any task, and we don't control, supervise, or guarantee any task, group, volunteer, or what they say or do. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for any injury, loss, damage, or dispute that comes from using the site or taking part in a task, whether online or in person. You use NeighborlyNow and volunteer at your own risk. The site is provided "as is" and "as available," with no promises that it will always work or that anyone will show up. If you ever have a claim against us, our total liability is limited to $100, as far as the law allows. You agree to cover us from claims caused by your own content or conduct. We may update these terms and will post the new version before it starts. Questions? Email support@neighborlynow.com.
