Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
For every account: your name, your email, and a hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we get your name and email from Google. We never see your Google password. For volunteers: the tasks you claim and check in to, and your points. For organizations: your contact info, and the street address stored on each task you post.
2. Your location
If you enter a ZIP code or share your location, we use it only to show tasks near you. Search locations aren't saved to our database or our logs.
3. Who sees what
The leaderboard shows only your First name and last initial, like "Maya L." You can opt out in settings. A group's contact info is visible only to that group and to volunteers who claimed one of its tasks. Volunteers' contact info is visible only to the group running a task they claimed.
4. Who helps us, and what we store in your browser
We never sell your data. Resend sends our emails, such as account confirmation and password resets. DigitalOcean hosts our servers. They may only use your data to do that work for us. We store a login token in your browser to keep you signed in. We use no ad trackers.
5. Your choices and contact
You can fix your info, opt out of the leaderboard, or email us to delete your account and data. We'll remove your personal info from our live systems. We may update this policy and will post changes before they start. Write to support@neighborlynow.com.
